To Post, or Not To Post

NaBloPoMo, writing No Comments

I needed to get some prompts posted on j4cw2j and had not gotten the blog registered for another month of NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) I guess I was never fully registered before. It is a complicated list to jump through and I’m not sure I made it all the way. I feel kind of a relief to not have to get something posted every day. Especially since I finally have a website. What stopped me from getting a website for so long and I could have made one at any time. I always thought it was expensive to have a site. Free web-hosting was offered by Faithwriters500 and I almost stayed with them so I could get a sight.

I was a chump to even join them although it was good till all the editors were fired leaving one woman making all the decisions about what was published and what was not. I realize different editors have different tastes but I didn’t have a chance. I was blessed by the posts while I was reading them and commenting on them then that also changed. come to think of it the Faithwriters500 editor was at the center of that change as well. There should be checks and balances in the editors of magazines as well as in government.

We are getting rid of the interim pastor we got when pastor Mike left. I never had use for him from the get go. He is leaving thank goodness. I can only hope we get someone who is as good as pastor Mike.

NaBloPoMo

NaBloPoMo, intro, journaling No Comments

I joined NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) today I have been trying to do more bloging and journaling in general. I guess I am trying to do so much I have this blog, an online journal, and five, (count them five), paper journals going right now. One is an art journal, where I draw illustrations or paste in various pictures I have collected. This touches my creative side nobody ever sees. The second through forth are for various forms of study. The final one is a normal journal with daily events and such.

To join NaBloPoMo they asked for a profile. I never know what to say in that I talk about writing and mention my husband. It always feels strange about doing profiles. This is what I said today:

•    [I have been keeping a journal for over 30 years. I have been writing for publication nearly all that time. First poems, then articles, devotionals, and my one and only short story also got published. My writing tends to be more reality based. I am currently working on a book on journaling. I have been happily married for seven years.]

A bit skimpy isn’t it? As much as I write I am seldom the topic.

Since I made a commitment to post on my blog I guess I need to post this.
